They're terrific showmen. Rogue came into the crowd and did a hoe-down with this gorgeous flaming boy, and by hoe-down, i mean, linked arms and skipped in a circle. out of control.
Anyhow, I really felt like saying, its just incredibly weird how at home I felt. Like, when I went to the the play of highschool musical (awwwwwwful), all I could think was how disgusted with people I was, but at this show, I looked around and I knew no one, but they all made me happy. I mean, there were all sorts there, all sorts of darklings that is, and it was lovely. I felt like just sitting there forever and enjoying the company.

...and, to top it all off, I danced with this guy in a full length trench coat and ruffled silk scarf around his neck and about 8 facial piercings. we salsa-d, but i really don't have any idea how to salsa, so he just sort of spun me around a lot. :)

I feel like I'm keeping up with all my classes really well and understanding everything thats going on, but actually my grades are rather poor.

Physics seems like a really easy class thus far, but when I actually sit down to do the work, it doesn't go quite as well as it should. Basically, I'm fucked on tomorrow's test.

Last weekend was ridiculously fun. I met two random irish, military boys that were into all sorts of good music. yay.

I finally made it over to Havok (the local goth club), with the excuse of a good ol' show. Plus, my mother is out of town and my sister is in charge of me, thus she picked me up from a party and took me to Stromkern and Front Line Assembly at Havok. Unfortunately, since I was essentially by my lonesome, I didn't quite get to dancing between the bands, but I danced my ass off during the bands. But alas, who cares because I sat and watched this absolutely gorgeous boy dance. He looked like death, hot hot hot death. I started to describe him, but decided to spare you because it ended up being a few paragraphs. Basically think richie rich back in his club days, dancing like the world was ending and he knew everyone was watching him move. :)
Stromkern was pretty good, the music in between was quite good, I would have loved to have danced to it but I wasn't about to compete with gorgeous death boy. Front Line Assembly started out pretty damn good but the vocals kept fucking up (like sound cutting out) and then the drums kept fucking up then the whole powe system on stage went out, and at this point the band was super pissed, the fans were super pissed, and teh show started sucking ass. I bought an (overpriced) shirt, but it's all good.
Katie's party was pretty fuckin' fun. EEEEEEEEEEEEEE! This is by far the most exciting news of the (yester)day! Andrew said I'm his number one hag, and allison is his back up. Granted its sort of because i found him first and Allison already ahs a fag, so he was molesting her most of the night, which is so entirely like, perfect. Whenever he feels like molesting someone, he can go to her because i am not a touchy feely person. But EEEEEEEE! i have a fag!!! i told my sister I'd made a friend and she was like "amanda has a BOYYFRIEND!" and i was like, "no, i have a fag! EVEN BETTER! IM A HAG WITH A FAG! EEEEEEE!" and my sister was just like, oh gawd. :)

So, I was considering posting this to the javey board, and to all my friends that I know don't want to read this, sorry for spamming your friends post, but I wanted to get this down somewhere.

I just talked to ahr about davey havok and all of his gayness. which the fans still deny, for some unknown reason, they are utterly offended at the suggestion that he might be gay. I don't get this, I mean, it is not that we have made this up out of nowhere. What more does one guy need to do to convince you that he likes men? Does he need to make a public announcement of his coming out, followed by a pornographic demonstration just to reassure us? Granted, he has mentioned a girlfriend or two, and spoken of 'dream girls', but there's this little thing called bisexual where you like *gasp* both sexes.
and remember children, this is not meant to be a very serious thing nor a mean thing, but nonetheless true. :)

lets start with a list like arrangement (wow, this could go on forever, but for starters)
1. Photo kissing boy at party (isn't that called gay? boy on boy action = gay?)
2. He's friends with Jeffrey Star, does Jeffrey Star even associate with straight people? probably not. And if Davey weren't gay before, he's probably gay by now.
3. His myspace posts. This one has many many subpoints. gosh, if I were really making a good argument, I'd go get direct quotes, but I shall paraphrase instead. a) taking his boyfriends (that hes robbed from the cradle) to the gay club, where he dances with drag queens and gave a guy a lap dance while one of his boyfriends made out with one of the queens next to him. or something like this, I think I may have combined two nights together. b) having slumber parties with Nils (and mentioning that they're both in their underwear) c) taking two of his boyfriends to a carnival (yes, he calls them his boyfriends) and saying he might end up making out with them in the bushes... this list goes on, I need to reread some of hte posts and recall some more highlights, but how can you read those and say "pfft see, he totally sleeps with chicks"
4. So, I'm joining the bandwagon and adding my over thought interp. of the new album. AFI has their usual themes of like, outcast and darkness and everything, but theres a little bit of light in this one, more than before. And its definitely more romantic (albeit pretty depressing) than previous ones, but overall I feel it has a tone of 'coming out' to it. There are a few lines that strike me, but most impressively
I met my love before I was born.
He wanted love
I taste of blood
He bit my lip and drank my war
From years before
...now some have interpreted decemberunderground as a love story being that davey is speaking from a woman's perspective about a relationship with a man, which is so close... like why can't it just be davey singing as davey to a man?
5. I know I know, the makeup thing, the clothes, the hair, etc. that doesn't mean anything, but taken with everything else, it adds a little. I mean, you might doubt all of it a little more if he were this very straight-laced or bitches 'n' hos kind of guy.
6. He constantly hints at it every oppurtunity, but generally refuses to actually give an answer. When asked he says things like "who knows?" or "they think I'm gay? that's fabulous!" or "maybe"

I mean, raelly, what does it take to qualify someone as gay? I guess it is sort of a self-identification thing but it also is a label that is sometimes just fact. Even if Davey likes girls, clearly to some extent he has a fondness for boys. Do kissing boys, dancing with boys, giving lap dances to boys, and never asserting that he's straight still mean that clearly he's straight, he's just a little weird?
hahahahahahaha if anyone bothered to read this, im really sorry for my ramblings. I just had to get taht down. Theres this strange sort of debate about whether assuming someone is gay is stereotyping and baaad or to some extent, just truth. Theres just no way to win.

soooooooooooooooo, I must say I quite enjoy AFI's new album.
I've also discovered youtube, which I currently find fascinating. I've heard a few people bitch about it, but really, where else would you find the most random of bootlegs and whatnot? I found like 2 hours of Voltaire footage.
Also, and more interestingly, at least to myself and probably Katie, I've found exceptionally ... interesting AFI clips and whatnots.
daveyjadegay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oH425L6TDPI&search=jade%20puget
davey doing the reading for livefreakydiefreaky: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oH425L6TDPI&search=jade%20puget
(the faces he makes make me embarrassed for him, but to actually see him say things like "i was mounted by the most adorable mongoloid the other night.
So, uhh, I feel like I never go to school anymore. :( Two weeks ago, I missed two days for my grandfather's funeral. Then, last week, I missed two days. One because I actually felt sick and one, just because. Yesterday I had an AP, so no classes, and today I slept all day. So in 3 weeks since Easter break, I've only been to ... 7 days of class. I'm surprised my teachers havent all shot me. Oh well. :( I wonder how many days I've missed this year.

KATIE. We need to do something fun. Tomorrow at 8 theres a show, I think ahr and I are going, you should come along.

haha...
today I was supposed to do a music theory sight reading quiz and i COULD NOT do it. I had never sung when we practiced in class but I figured I COULD, badly, but COULD if i really had to. I couldnt. Instead, I ended up sobbing and my teacher was just like "uhhh..." That was probably a first. Tiffany ended up sobbing after her quiz, for a very long time, uncontrollably. I just don't get how it could be that traumatizing. There's definitely something wrong with us.

I think I have a disease. Three of my quarter averages are high 90s = disease. I'm usually rather a failure.
Speaking of failure, let's chat about those social skills. Like, the ones that don't exist.

Tonight after soccer (at 9:45) all the girls were talking about going to the movies and/or dinner, and I was just like, uhh 'tis 9:45, I have to just go home. And! because I cannot drive, I got into the car with my mother (who is listening to a spoken word history of Jerusalem), who is again, sick and says it is too late to go by hollywood video to rent a movie. So while all these girls from soccer go out at night, it is apparently too late for me to run by the movie store. How is it possible that I live the life of a 6 year old?

BUT! on a much happier note, the movie Live Freaky Die Freaky FINALLY came out. It's all these band people from well, bands I really don't have much taste for, doing voices for horribly offensive stop-motion animation, like claymation. The story line is the world has essentially ended and this new race of humans think Charles Hanson(manson) is god. Then the story of the manson cult and murder are told in the most ridiculous fashion. Davey Havok (from afi) does the voice for the gay hairdresser that died in the Tate murders. Some of his lines are "I'll rip that fetus out and eat it" (or something like that) and "Don't insult my mangina!" and some others, all in this sthuper gay voice.

On another note, today I had a meeting with Kef, J-dub, Ali, and Reynolds about GSA/Prism and Kef said "so, we need to talk about teh mission of GSA. Basically, we don't want students coming out." and we all stared at him. then he said "no i mean like, we dont want students to be gay, or at least announce it. So yes, we don't want students to come out. WE are discouraging students from coming out." and we continued to stare, dumbfounded that he could be such an idiot. Then we gave him a nice little lesson about what an asshole he is. Pfft.

like whoa, haven't updated in a long time. I just wrote a like, super long entry then decided it was too long to post so I made it private. Well, I'm still in Istanbul, spring break, been here for a week. This city is huge, 20 million people. it goes on forever in every direction, it seems. My sister went home two days ago, but Im here for another two. Okay, interesting/funny moments.

Apparently western/white/american women are known in Turkey for being rather loose/easy, especially compared to like, conservative muslim women, so I've been hit on ... a lot :( It's incredibly strange because I've never ever had that happen to me at home. heh :( More about this later, but it's kinda fun because Turkish boys are actually rather cute, which is reeeeeeeally weird. I would've never have thought it.

Gay summary:
Well, I've seen two gay bars, The Sugar Club and The Birdcage (I think those were the names). My sister adn I went to a gym and there was a guy who was definately gay, heh, he walked in wearing tight, stylin' jeans and a tight shirt then changed into short short yellow (probably girl) shorts and a little green muscle shirt. I'm pretty sure I've spotted several more fags, some people just can't turn down their flame, it's fabulous. It's weird that here girls and guys walk around with their arms linked, i mean like, two girls or two guys. At first I was like, EVERYONES GAY! haha, but I'm starting to realize that's not quite true, makes me happy anyway to see two guys walking arm and arm, its cute. In topkapi palace, in the room with all these important religious things, no less, there were two guys that were arm in arm, but were probably actually gay. It was super cute, one was leaning his head on the others shoulder. Uhhh, Bay means man in turkish and Man is well, man. So on the bathroom sign it said Man Bay and i was like, haha its a MAN BAY! sounds like a really campy gay bar. so uhhthats all i hve to say now.

When we walked around the spice bazaar and grand bazaar, shopekeepers stand outside their shops and shout strange things to try and get customers. Among the best were
"You are my favorite spice girl!" which seemed to catch on as we were called the spice girls a lot in the spice bazaar.
"Can I be your friend?"
"My beautiful beauty queen, yes please?"
"Yes please" thats the most common, it must be an idiom in turkish.
"Maybe here, maybe not here. Do you like shakespeare?" then we started laughing and he goes "You smile, I see your teeth. You have nice teeth" Which only made us laugh harder of course.
"Is that your mom?" i said "no" and he goes "No.nono. Is that your Mom? Ma'am? MOM? MAAM?? MOM! MOM! MOM! MAAM? MOM!!? MAAM?! MOM!?" even when we were like 20 yards away.

other things of note, theres a lot of english here and the accent is a mix of italian and indian, at least in istanbul. The food is amazing here. lots of bread. the countryside is gorgeous and everyone rides their red tractors everywhere. We saw a lot of farmers, with their wives and kids, all on the red tractor driving to town.

There are KITTY CATS all over this city, its amazing!

Uhh, thats all. sorry long entry. pictures later, mayhaps.

K, so y'all all know what incredibly like, obsessive I am in general, and easily amused.
So anyhow, if you saw the man figure skating, you might've seen Johnny Weir. The commentator people have given him the motto "He's here. he's Weir. get over it." Heh. His costume was simply fabulous and he was, really, rather gorgeous. Well now I've gone and looked him up and apparently his hero/idol is Justin Timberlake and he's obsessed with Russia (like, whoa). He keeps getting himself in trouble because in his interviews, he's mentioned his affection for vodka and cocaine, and feather boas. :) Anyhow, PICTURES!

http://www.kataniye.com/johnny_weir/Johnny%20California%20Studio%20Shot%205a.jpg
http://www.kataniye.com/johnny_weir/Johnny%20California%20Studio%20Shot%206a.jpg
http://www.kataniye.com/johnny_weir/IMG_2183.jpg
http://www.kataniye.com/johnny_weir/20446509.jpg
http://www.kataniye.com/johnny_weir/Nationals%202006/Kristina/Swan%201.jpg

So tonight Aunt Lorie, my cousin Katie, and I played this table topics game, which is just a bunch of questions like "what's your most memorable meal" or "who do you think is the most important person in the world?" etc. So I found out through answering these like 150 questions that my life is something to the shape of being a shallow bitch who just wants to party ... in Russia, and wear fabulous costume jewelry then go to hell and party with the fags, in fabulous costume jewelry. Also, after considerate thought about my response to the question "what movie or book has had the most influence on your life," I came to the conclusion that it is, sadly, Party Monster. Then the question "if money was no object, what would you do for a friend or relative." My cousin said take care of her mom, my aunt said take care of her parents, and I said nothing, except maybe find a way to pay for tiffany to not have to freak out about being an Adult, like paying for her to live in a kiddie day care for the rest of her life :)

P.S. tiffany, we need to find a new way for your suicide, laughing gas apparently doesn't actually make you laugh :( Apparently a plastic bag over your head makes you see really pretty colors right before you die :)

err, anyway, I want to party.

heh, so I was Rumor has it at the theaters today and I started laughing so hard everytime the sisters husband was on the screen because Ive seen the actor once before in the movie "Latter Days" where he plays a conservative mormon coming to terms with being homo, complete with mansex. So to see him in like, a hollywood movie being this awkward straight guy was soooo funny, at least to me. In the extras on the latter days dvd, the actor said he didnt see his character as gay and he would never play a "gay" role, somehow, i think he missed the point of the movie.
Anyhow, I got my psat scores. finally. Theyre alright.
